Betsio Privacy Policy for accounts, payments and site use

Effective Date: 21 July 2026 Last Updated: 21 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal data when you visit Betsio, create an account, contact support, deposit, withdraw, verify your identity, use a promotion or set responsible gambling controls. It also explains the choices and rights available to you.

1. Who controls your data

TESSERA LIMITED S.R.L., registration number 3-102-913501, is the controller of personal data processed through Betsio. Our registered office is in San Jose, Mata Redonda, South Sabana, Las Vegas neighbourhood, Blue Building, diagonal to La Salle High School, Costa Rica.
Xyrona Limited, company number HE 470071, may act as a payment agent. Game providers, payment processors, identity-verification services, fraud-prevention suppliers, hosting companies and support platforms may process limited data for the services they provide to us.
Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

2. Data we collect

We collect the information needed to operate an account and comply with legal, security and responsible gambling requirements.

2.1 Registration and profile data

This may include your full name, date of birth, residential address, country, email address, telephone number, username, password record, preferred language and account currency.

2.2 Verification and compliance data

We may request a passport, national identity card, driving licence, proof of address, payment ownership evidence, selfie or liveness check. Enhanced review may involve source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information, occupation, transaction explanations and sanctions or politically exposed person screening.

2.3 Payment and gameplay records

We process deposit and withdrawal amounts, currencies, payment tokens, wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, timestamps, balance movements, bonuses, wagers, game rounds, sports bets, winnings, reversals and chargebacks. We do not ask you to disclose a complete card number or cryptocurrency private key to support.

2.4 Technical and usage data

This may include IP address, device identifiers, browser, operating system, language, time zone, referral URL, pages viewed, login history, session activity, cookie identifiers and approximate location derived from technical signals.

2.5 Communications and safer gambling data

We retain support chats, emails, complaints, call notes, survey responses and marketing preferences. Responsible gambling records may include limits, reality checks, cooling-off, self-exclusion, account-risk interactions and decisions made to protect the player or comply with our obligations.

3. Why we process personal data

We use personal data to:

  • create, authenticate and secure your account;
  • provide games, sports betting, balances, bonuses and transaction history;
  • process deposits, withdrawals, refunds and payment investigations;
  • verify identity, age, address, payment ownership and source of funds;
  • detect fraud, collusion, multi-accounting, bonus abuse, chargebacks and money laundering;
  • apply account limits, self-exclusion and other responsible gambling controls;
  • answer support requests and investigate complaints;
  • personalise language, currency, games and promotions where permitted;
  • measure site performance and improve navigation, products and security;
  • meet regulatory, tax, legal, audit and law-enforcement requirements;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the processing and the law that applies, we rely on performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests, consent and the protection of vital interests. Contractual processing covers account operation, gaming and payments. Legal obligations include age, identity, anti-money-laundering and recordkeeping checks. Legitimate interests include security, fraud prevention, service improvement and defence of claims. Consent is used where required for optional cookies or marketing and can be withdrawn.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels and comparable technologies. Essential cookies keep sessions secure, remember authentication and operate account functions. Functional cookies retain settings such as language and currency. Analytics cookies measure page use and technical performance. Advertising or affiliate cookies may attribute referrals, limit repeated messages and measure campaigns.
You can manage optional cookies through the available consent controls and browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, cashier or security functions from working correctly.

6. Marketing choices

Where permitted, we may send information about bonuses, games, sports markets and account offers by email, SMS, push notification or telephone. You can change marketing preferences in your account, use the unsubscribe control in a message or contact support. An opt-out does not stop essential security, account, payment or legal communications.

7. Who receives data

We disclose only the data reasonably required for a stated purpose. Recipients can include:

  • payment institutions, card networks, banks, wallet and blockchain-service providers;
  • identity, age, address, sanctions and source-of-funds verification suppliers;
  • game studios, platform operators and sports data providers;
  • hosting, cybersecurity, anti-fraud, analytics and customer-support vendors;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers and payment agents;
  • regulators, courts, police, tax authorities or other public bodies where legally required;
  • a purchaser or successor if our business or assets are reorganised or transferred.

We do not sell identity documents or account balances as marketing lists.

8. International transfers

Our company, payment agent and service suppliers may be located in different countries. When personal data moves across borders, we use contractual, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the transfer, including data-processing agreements, access restrictions and recognised transfer mechanisms where applicable.

9. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as required for the purpose collected and for legal, regulatory, security, dispute and fraud-prevention obligations. Account, KYC, payment, gameplay and responsible gambling records may need to be retained after account closure. Retention periods vary according to account status, local law, unresolved payments, self-exclusion, complaints and legal claims. Data that no longer needs to identify you may be deleted or anonymised.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, authentication measures, monitoring, secure hosting, staff procedures, supplier controls and fraud-detection systems. No online system eliminates every risk. Protect your password, enable available security controls and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

11. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You may withdraw consent and opt out of direct marketing. Some requests cannot be completed immediately where we must retain records for anti-money-laundering, responsible gambling, payment, dispute or other legal reasons.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address connected to your account. We may verify your identity before releasing or changing data. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that applies in your place of residence.

12. Minors

Betsio is not intended for anyone below the legal gambling age, which is at least 18 and may be higher in some jurisdictions. We use age checks and may suspend an account while proof of age is reviewed. Parents and guardians should secure devices, payment credentials and passwords and may use parental-control software.

13. Third-party sites and blockchains

Links to external websites, wallets, payment services and blockchain networks are governed by their own privacy practices. Public blockchain transactions may remain visible and cannot be altered by us. Review third-party privacy terms before sending data or funds.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy when our services, suppliers, legal duties or processing activities change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated through the account or by email where appropriate.
